We live in a globalised world where it is becoming increasingly necessary, when opening bank accounts, applying for travel documents or doing business generally, to prove our identity, place of residence as a minimum and often other things such as proof of employment income, capital and so on.
In these situations, we cannot risk releasing original documents for fear of them getting lost so most institutions will accept copies of important documents which are certified as true copies by Notaries.
Notaries are lawyers with the appropriate qualifications or other professionals and officials who have the standing to certify these important documents.
How can we help:
- Our Law Team has a number of qualifying lawyers or Notaries who can see you at short notice and sometimes without a prearranged appointment, in urgent cases.
- Our notaries will examine your original documents and your photo ID or passport to establish your ID and then proceed to copy the required documents and certify them to be true copies (i.e. Notarise your documents). These Notarised copy documents can then be relied upon for the vast majority of ‘official’ purposes.
- Sometimes you may be required to sign an evidential document such as a statutory declaration of affidavit and have your signature witnessed by an independent professional such as a Notary.
- Our Notary will charge a competitive fixed fee per document and half of that fixed fee for each exhibit.
